The belief of evangelical Gnosticism definately affects the fullfilment of the mission in that there is no need of repentance in the people. They have a different belief in God, nature of the world and salvation. It is hard to reach a person with a message of forgiveness when they don’t think they have done wrong.
An aspect of the Reformation legacy that stands to me the most is the accesibility to the Bible. Having it available in many languages has truly made a way to the preaching of the gospel to all the nations.
I think that a practical implication of the priesthood of all believers is the accountability it puts on all of us to fullfill God’s mission. Because we all have equal access to His Presence and have equal potential to minister God. Therefore we can all testify and reach others.

They often believe they are OK, and which they are not, but it makes it incredibly difficult for us to be able to reach those people due to them having a different belief in God. This gives us also are more complex mission, but due to the gospel been easier to share in our day due to translations due to technology, we are given the ability and opportunity to be able to share this wonderful gospel. I also believe to be of priesthood of believers is to fulfill on the mission, and be part of the body of Christ by using our gifts for the benefit of the church, and for all course, the glory of God.

Evangelical Gnosticism can impede the Church’s mission by prioritizing spiritual salvation and neglecting physical needs, while the Reformation’s legacy stands out for fostering individual freedom of conscience and shaping Western culture, influencing language, art, education, and civic engagement; the priesthood of all believers further empowers every believer, including an apostolic girl, to engage directly with Christ and participate in ministry, utilizing their unique spiritual gifts within the community.

Evangelical Gnosticism has made the church separate the sacred from our daily lives. It affects how people view biblical truths and secularism and how they can keep them separate. If we fall into this, our church will not be able to impact our societies. We would tell them that the Lord only cares about their attendance on Sundays or during Bible study, but that everything else doesn’t matter to the Lord. We are preaching a false gospel and we are only caring about filling the inside of the church but not fulfilling the great commission.
Access to the Bible was the most important legacy the reformation left. Instead of having someone else tell us what it says we all now have access to it.
If we are believers of Jesus then we must proclaim His name. That is the priesthood of all believers. We must carry his presence in everything we do. Everything we do is for His glory and should be done as an act of worship for him. «And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men» Col 3:23

Evangelical Gnosticism is dangerous because it separates the spiritual from the physical, limiting the work of the Holy Spirit to only church settings rather than all of life. This weakens the call to evangelism, discipleship, and social transformation. The Pentecostal movement emphasizes the power of the Holy Spirit in everyday life, not just in prayer or worship. When believers reject this Spirit-filled mission, they risk becoming passive rather than boldly preaching the Gospel (Acts 1:8).
One of the most impactful aspects of the Reformation is the priesthood of all believers, which aligns with the belief that every believer is called to be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led. Another key legacy is Sola Scriptura, which emphasizes the authority of God’s Word over traditions. The Pentecostal movement also values personal encounters with God, similar to how the Reformation restored direct access to God without human intermediaries.
I believe that every believer is called to serve God. This means that we are all Spirit-filled ministers in our daily lives. The Holy Spirit empowers us to pray, share the Gospel, and use spiritual gifts like healing, prophecy, and encouragement (1 Corinthians 12). We don’t just worship on Sundays; we live for Christ every day. Whether at work, school, or home, we represent Jesus and should serve others with love and boldness. Everything we do, even our jobs, should be done as worship to God (Colossians 3:23). This challenges me to be active in my faith, seek opportunities to minister, and rely on the Holy Spirit in all areas of life

Evangelical Gnosticism dilutes God’s mission by separating faith from action. It overemphasizes personal spirituality while overlooking the real-world needs. Just as Jesus didn’t just preach, He loved, served, and met people where they were (far from God and in sin). When we reduce faith to just knowledge without action, we miss the heart of the gospel. The Reformation made the Bible more accessible, that in turn helped people have a deeper more personal level of understanding of the word of God. The priesthood of all believers calls Christians to live out their faith in everyday situations—at work, school, or home. Each action becomes a chance to serve and honor God, showing others what a true relationship with God looks like (faith), its living a missional lifestyle.

Evangelical Gnosticism can limit the effectiveness of the mission by creating a divide between the «spiritual» and the «secular.» Suggesting that only certain spiritual experiences/knowledge can lead to a deeper connection with God, reducing everyday life to something less important. When we adopt this mindset, we focus solely on personal, spiritual experiences rather than engaging in the broader mission of evangelism and discipleship. This approach can lead to a disconnect from the idea that the Holy Spirit empowers all of us believers to live out the Gospel in every area of life. Instead of seeing evangelism as a holistic mission that includes work, relationships, and social action, Evangelical Gnosticism tends to confine God’s work to merely church settings.
The part of the Reformation’s legacy that stood out for me the most was the doctrine of the priesthood of all believers, which affirms that every Christian has direct access to God and is called to serve Him. This doctrine drastically changed the church’s structure by removing the exclusive role of the clergy as intermediaries between God and people. Another significant aspect is sola scriptura, the belief that Scripture alone is the ultimate authority in Christian life.
The doctrine of the priesthood of all believers has profound practical implications for Christians. It empowers every believer, not just clergy, to participate in ministry. This means that everyone has a role in spreading the Gospel, serving others, and advancing God’s Kingdom, regardless of their position or role in the church. It challenges the passive mentality that ministry is reserved for church leaders and encourages believers to live out their faith actively in all areas of life.

Evangelical Gnosticism is a belief that God is only interested in some areas of our life, therefore enticing people to live in a “liberal” way & ignore what God has established. This type of thinking can affect the fulfillment of the mission because it leads the church astray by giving a focus on only the spiritual things, yet leaving aside the physical needs of the world. As a church we are not only called to spread the gospel, but also to put our faith into action by living it in all areas of our life. (“Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them”)
During the Reformation, people went back to the Scriptures to present a Biblical view of things. As more people get access to the Word of God, mindsets begin to shift & so does the idea of separating the secular from the spiritual. People begin to understand that God wants us to fully consecrate ourselves to Him & not live a life of dualism. This is the mindset that needs to be recovered by the church so that we don’t accommodate to the new world views but rather stand in the Biblical view that God designed.
The priesthood of all believers is to put more emphasis on the Biblical view in order to better fulfill the mission of God. We are called to do all things for His glory, every day.

PdC brother Jorge, I agree with your point! Evangelical Gnosticism really does create a divide between the sacred and secular, which limits the church’s impact on society. When we view only certain things as «important» to God, we fail to show that every part of our lives can be used to serve Him.

PTL! I agree with you sister. Evangelical Gnosticism dilutes the mission because it also dilute the Word of God. People fall into false beliefs and teachings, that lead them to live a life that limits what God can do in them and through them. If we only focus on the spiritual, then the church looses its essence. We are God’s hands and feet in this world. We are to share gospel, but share it in its fulness. We are to live the gospel, but live it in its fulness. All areas of our life should reflect the God we serve and preach.

PdC, Obiel, I love how you highlighted the priesthood of all believers from the Reformation. It’s a reminder that every believer is called to serve, not just the clergy. Sola Scriptura gives us direct access to God’s Word , and like you said, we’re all Spirit-filled ministers. Everything we do, from work to school to family, can be an act of worship. That really challenges us to see how we live out our faith every day, not just on Sundays.

PTL! Amen sister. I love how, we too can be an active part of fulfilling the mission of God. «There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus». As His children, we are all called by God to be part of influencing the world around us and leading them back to Christ.

It’s interesting thought of how the Bible was only accessible to those who’s vocation was thought of as divine. Martin Luther, through the reform, made it possible for all nations to have access to the word of God.

We still see Evangelical Gnosticism today. I was having conversations with friends about big church organizations being influenced by things of this world. What it has caused is divisions within its own church. It made me realize that this church had been discipled by the nations because the were no discipling nations.

Evangelical Gnosticism might divert attention from the equally important actions required in fulfilling the Great Commission—such as evangelism, service, and caring for the marginalized and many others

To me one of the most important parts aspects of the Protestant reformation, was the emphasis on the authority of Scripture over church traditions and also the recovering of the biblical true about the Priesthood of All believers that state that every believer have equal access to God and to serve as well of those who have institucional authority.

Evangelical gnosticism affects the mission in the sense that Salvation only comes from knowing the divine and not through faith. They also believe there are different gods and that this world was not created by the one and only true God!
The aspects of the reformation legacy stand out to me the most is that we all now have direct access to God. He is a loving God that cares about every aspect of our lives and wants to have the closest relationship with us!We are not true christians or the true church if we do not minister to others. The only reason we as a church exist is for the purpose of reconciling the world in the name of Christ! Our culture needs to change as well and that starts with each one of us, His Church!!

The priesthood of all believers transforms how I understand my daily life and purpose as an apostolic girl in today’s world. This doctrine teaches that all believers in Christ share in His priestly status, eliminating the idea that only certain special people can mediate between God and others. Practically, this means I have direct access to God through Christ, allowing me to approach Him with confidence and boldness. As a priest, I’m called to offer spiritual sacrifices – not animal offerings, but sacrifices of prayer, praise, thanksgiving, repentance, justice, kindness, and love. This doctrine reminds me that my everyday work is priestly work; when I’m studying, creating art, or helping in my community, these actions can be expressions of worship when done to honor God. I bear a prophetic responsibility to declare God’s excellencies and convictions to the world around me, proclaiming His message not just through evangelism but in how I engage with politics, business, education, and other spheres of influence. Perhaps most transformative is understanding that as a priest, I’m called to be an agent of reconciliation, mediating Christ’s love into a dark and troubled world. While I don’t need to be in «full-time ministry» to fulfill this calling, I can see my daily participation in school, work, family, and community as opportunities to serve the Lord. This priesthood means I should be willing to prophetically confront problems in both church and world, living out my faith not just through direct participation in church activities but through my profession and engagement in society. When I fully embrace this identity, I recognize that my whole life can be ministry – whether I’m standing at a pulpit or sitting at my desk.
